Wolf Mozzie Zapper

With the warmer weather and long evenings now upon us the inevitable Mozzi invasion has started and will only get worse until the cooler Autumn evenings arrive.

Unfortunately the Mozzies love me so I have to take action every summer to avoid getting bitten too much. The different sprays are ok and I found the Avon Skin so Soft pretty good until you get too sweaty when a lot of it then comes off, and then there is always that spot you miss that the Mozzies always find. I made a Mozzi poncho that goes over my bedchair that worked ok but it is hassle setting it up, so when I heard about the Wolf Mozzi-Zappa my ears pricked up and I was on the look out to buy one.

I managed to get one this winter and have been using it this Spring as the evenings have been getting warmer and so far the results have been brilliant. I stand it on my cooler box that is by the head end of my bedchair and turn it on as the Mozzies start to appear. It has a bright purple light that attracts the insects and as they fly into it they meet there end. I was worried the light may keep me awake but that wasn’t the case and there is no crackling as the insects are terminated, you just wake up to a tray of insects and so far no bites.

It also features a torch and the lithium battery is rechargeable and can be charged on most of the modern chargers.

It is light and compact, doesn’t take up much room in my bag and has a handle to enable you to hang it up in the bivvy, A great piece of kit that I highly recommend and mine will go everywhere with me this summer and used along with a decent Mozzi spray should keep the Mozzies away
